How did Anil Gochikar get popular?
During the pandemic in July, many people based on social media got in the spotlight. One of them was Anil Gochikar, who had become popular as the Bahubali Sevayat of Lord Jagannath temple.
The 43-year-old became an Internet sensation after a couple of pictures of him became viral online during the Ratha Yatra. In one of his pictures, he was standing in Lord Jagannath's Chariot, while in another, he was pulling the chariot. People, right after seeing pulling the chariot his bodybuilder personality.

He has been going to Akhada since adolescence."In 2010, I joined the gym for exercise after being inspired by my elder brother Sunil, who is also a bodybuilder. Since then, I have been constantly doing physical exercise every day in the afternoon," Anil told Indian Abroad News Service (IANS).
He had already specified a niche for himself in the field of bodybuilding, the coming of social media made him much more well known. He won several awards and medals at state-, national and global levels.

His eating regimen or diet includes soybean, broccoli, and etc for protein, desi ghee for fat. “However, if you are a vegetarian, you have to do more workouts compared to non-vegetarian,” he clarifies.
Sharing his experience during last years Ratha Yatra, he said, till the last moment of the festival, nobody realized that the celebration would be held. The sudden announcement was made for the Ratha Yatra festival and there was a fear among individuals about Covid-19, and a limited number of servitors of the temple were there to pull the lord's chariots.
"The chariots can't move with just 300 odd people. It was because of the heavenly force of Lord Jagannath, the chariot moved," he said.
“What is the use of the body if it is not used to serve the Lord Jagannath. Earlier, there was no police force or any law authority or administrators, during that time, only the servitors had given security to Jagannath,” Anil said in an interview.
