10 upcoming Bollywood movies in 2022 you would love to watch.

KGF Chapter 2

2022. The year sounds both optimistic and pessimistic. A new year could feel like simply another change in the dateline after two years of fighting and surviving the pandemic. The postponing of Jersey and RRR's theatrical premieres has further added to the problems. What we do have, though, is the slate of films that the year will – theoretically – deliver. The year 2022 in Hindi cinema appears to be one of experimentation, with a profusion of mainstream entertainers and some interesting, contemplative films. It appears to be a year of scale and celebrities, as well as nuance and novelty. RRR, Adipurush, KGF Chapter 2 and Liger appear to be filmed having a pan-India focus this year. And it also appears like the year we will hopefully see a Shah Rukh Khan film in the theatres — no official announcements have been made yet, however.

A list of upcoming films that have caught our interest is below. Of course, we have no idea if these films will be released on time or how they will turn out, but we're interested to find out.

1. Laal Singh Chaddha

Tentatively will be Released on: April 14, 2022

Laal Singh Chaddha

Aamir Khan excels at portraying emotional characters. And you'd expect that from a Hindi-language version of a classic like Forrest Gump. What's interesting about the film, which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya, is that it was shot in over a hundred different locales across the country.

2. KGF Chapter 2

Tentatively will be Released On: April 14, 2022

KGF Chapter 2

KGF Chapter 2 has been dubbed the most expensive Kannada film ever. In major roles, Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon join Yash and Srinidhi Shetty, who repeat their roles from the original. The first film broke all kinds of records for Kannada cinema, and the Hindi-language adaptation was a huge hit. It wouldn't be unreasonable to expect something even bigger and better in the sequel.

3. Doctor G

Tentatively will be Released on: June 17, 2022

Doctor G

Doctor G is a social drama film directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and produced by Junglee Pictures that will be released in India in Hindi. The key parts are Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh. Sheeba Chaddha and Shefali Shah play minor roles. It is set to be released on June 17, 2022.
Storyline: Three siblings with the only common parent are their father meets at their grandmother's funeral.

4. Brahmāstra

Tentatively will be released on: September 9, 2022

Brahmastra

The film was first revealed in 2017, yet it is still one of the most eagerly anticipated projects five years later. While Hindi film continues to look for its own native superheroes, the return of Ayan Mukerji and Ranbir Kapoor could be the missing link. The film's first motion picture included an intriguing image of Kapoor wielding a burning trident in front of a silhouette of Lord Shiva holding his Trishul.

5. Bhediya

Tentatively will be released on: November 25, 2022

Bhediya

Producer Dinesh Vijan returns with Bhediya, his third horror comedy after Stree and Roohi. This project is noteworthy because it will bring together Varun Dhawan's Bhediya, Janhvi Kapoor's Roohi, and Flora Saini's Stree to build Vijan's own horror-comedy universe. Also, the last time we saw a man morph into an animal was in Junoon, starring Rahul Roy. It'll be interesting to see how Dhawan handles the change.

6. Maidaan

Tentatively will be released on: June 3, 2022

Maidaan

Is Badhaai Ho's director collaborating with Ajay Devgn on a sports movie about great football coach Syed Abdul Rahim? We're paying attention. Devgn as Rahim appears to be an excellent casting decision, and a film about Indian football's golden era (1952-1962) — when legends like Chuni Goswami and PK Banerjee played for the squad – feels long overdue.

7. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect

Rocketry: The Nambey Effect

S. Nambi Narayanan, a former rocket scientist of the Indian Space Research Organization who was wrongfully convicted with espionage, is the subject of this biographical play. R Madhavan directed, wrote, produced, and acted in the film, which spans multiple timelines. Actors taking on directing roles isn't a new trend, but we're interested to see how Madhavan handles a sensitive, research-heavy subject.

8. Vikram Vedha

Vikram Vedha

If the Tamil version of the classic thriller starred Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi, the Hindi version will star Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan in an interesting pairing. It's unusual to see two top Bollywood actors team together for a film, and with the original directors in charge, we're hoping the film's authenticity will be preserved.

9. Jhund

Jhund

Manjule is well-versed in the complexities of human emotions. We've seen it in his previous films, such as Sairat and Fandry. In his Bollywood debut, he collaborates with Amitabh Bachchan to present the true storey of Vijay Barse, the creator of Slum Soccer, an NGO that uses football to empower poor children. If the film's first trailer, which will be released in 2020, is as compelling as its music [by Ajay-Atul], imagery of youngsters strolling about with cricket bats and stumps in a slum area, and Bachchan's voiceover, we wonder what the film will be like.

10. Jayeshbhai Jordaar

Jayeshbhai Jordaar

Ranveer Singh excels at everything he does. He immerses himself in the skin of his characters in a way that we rarely witness nowadays. It appears to be a colourful film with a social message in which Singh plays a Gujarati guy who desires to create equality between men and women in a patriarchal culture, based on its poster.

Bonus:

Shaktimaan

The release date isn't revealed yet

Shaktimaan

Shaktimaan, a popular TV character, will return. This time, though, the superhero will appear in a film rather than a television show. Mukesh Khanna, who portrayed Shaktimaan for many years, talks to us about the movie and his acting career, as well as his thoughts on television as a medium.

Mukesh Khanna is overjoyed that everything has come into place and that the Shaktimaan film will be released soon. He declares, "Something along these lines had been promised to my admirers. More than thrilled, I'm relieved that I was able to inform them of the news. We were working on it, but I wanted to wait until the proper moment to unveil it. I indicated earlier that a film will be made on this. I'm relieved that I was able to fulfil my commitment to my followers, and we're currently working on Shaktiman."

Shaktimaan suit

It's still uncertain whether Mukesh Khanna would appear in the film. When you tell him about it, he adds, "I'm still not allowed to say anything about it. I'm attached to the project and will be active in its production. Now, it will be decided later in what capacity I will be a part of the picture. Many details, such as casting and direction, are still being worked out."

In terms of work, he is currently concentrating on Shaktimaan. He declares, "He is the most powerful superhero on the planet since he possesses abilities that no other superhero possesses. Shaktimaan will not change, but the world around him will. It will be produced on a larger scale and with the current situation in mind. Shaktimaan's originality will be preserved, and the film's spirit will not be altered."

Conclusion

Are you excited about the upcoming films? We are really excited about it. And do you know our childhood superhero is coming back? Guess who? Yes, it's "Shaktimaan" and not in series but in movies. We guarantee it will fire the movie.
